US TSYS SUMMARY: Treasuries are a little stronger ahead of midterm elections
Tuesday.
- T-Note futures up 2.5/32 near highs at 118-07, fairly tight range today of
118-015 to 118-075. Potentially boosted by some risk-off in Europe, with a
no-deal Brexit possibility touted by a key UK parliamentarian (see Gilt/EGB
summaries).
- Very modest bull flattening in the curve. 2-Yr yield is down 0.8bps at
2.8993%, 5-Yr is down 1bps at 3.0178%, 10-Yr is down 1bps at 3.1913%, and 30-Yr
is down 0.6bps at 3.422%.
- Eurodollars likewise a little stronger, up 0.5-1.0 ticks across the strip.
- US Midterm Elections today - our preview of `what to watch` on election night
coming shortly.
- Fairly quiet day for Data; Redbook retail sales/ JOLTS out 0855ET/1000ET.
- Tsy auctions 52W bills ($26B) and 10Y notes ($27B) later.
