US TSYS SUMMARY: Treasuries are trading fairly flat as the week begins, with the
curve continuing to steepen as equities remain on the front foot.
- The 2-Yr yield is up 0.4bps at 0.2103%, 5-Yr is up 0bps at 0.4631%, 10-Yr is
up 1.4bps at 0.9086%, and 30-Yr is up 3.3bps at 1.699%.
- Sep 10-Yr futures (TY) up 0.5/32 at 137-3.5 (L: 136-30 / H: 137-07).
- No data/speakers today; focus is on FOMC decision on Wednesday.
- Having read through dozens of sell-side reports, can say that expectations are
all over the place, on everything from the Dot Plot to adoption of Yield Curve
Control etc. Our preview will be out in the early afternoon U.S. Eastern time.
- In supply, Tsy sells $117bln in 3- and 6-mo bills today, but the highlight is
$44bln in 3-Yr notes at 1300ET.
- Having lowered the weekly rate of purchases again for this week to $4.0bln
from $4.5bln, NY Fed buys $2bln in Tsys today.
