US TSYS SUMMARY: Treasuries are turning lower (though within ranges and on low
volumes) as equities break higher.
- Sep 10-Yr futures (TY) are on session lows, down 1/32 at 139-11.5 (L: 139-11.5
/ H: 139-15.5), but just 125k traded as of 0640ET.
- The 2-Yr yield is up 0.4bps at 0.1512%, 5-Yr is up 0.8bps at 0.2867%, 10-Yr is
up 0.8bps at 0.6184%, and 30-Yr is up 0.5bps at 1.3161%.
- S&P 500 looking to set a fresh post-Feb high, dollar index nearing June lows.
- After the E.U. made a recovery plan deal overnight, attention turns to D.C.'s
plans: Tsy Sec Mnuchin and White House chief of staff Meadows meet w Senate
leaders at 1100ET then lunch w Senate Republicans (unlikely to be attended by
Pres Trump, who will be signing a memorandum at 1215ET, topic unknown).
- At 1345ET, presumptive Dem pres nominee Biden to propose $775bln plan for
caregiving (for childcare, the elderly etc), paid for by real estate taxes.
- Thin data slate - Chicago Fed nat'l activity index for June at 0830ET.
- $60bln in 42-/119- bill sales at 1130ET, then a further $20bln in 273-day at
1300ET. And NYFed buys appr $6.025B in 4.5Y-7Y Tsys.
