US TSYS SUMMARY: Treasuries have edged higher early Thursday, recovering
slightly from lows following what was seen as a marginally hawkish FOMC outcome.
- Some bullish flattening in the curve, though slightly off lows (contrast w
Wednesday's bear flattening).
- The 2-Yr yield is down 0.4bps at 1.7583%, 5-Yr is down 1bps at 1.6664%, 10-Yr
is down 1bps at 1.7857%, and 30-Yr is down 1.1bps at 2.2313%.
- Dec 10-Yr futures (TY) down 0.5/32 at 129-12 (L: 129-03.5 / H: 129-17.5).
- We`re compiling our FOMC review document, should be out shortly.
- Post-FOMC sell-side opinions were mixed on Fed hawkishness/dovishness, but
almost all believed the FOMC remained open to at least one further rate cut,
with further cuts forecast depending on banks` economic outlooks.
- Reminder, the NY Fed will conduct overnight repo ops again today.
- Weekly jobless claims and existing home sales on the docket.
