US TSYS SUMMARY: Treasuries have recovered after a favourable China-US trade
headline around 0230EST Wednesday, and are now trading slightly higher.
- The Dec 18 T-Note future is up 2.5/32 at 119-07, having traded in a range of
119-04 to 119-095.
- The 2-Yr yield is up 0.1bps at 2.8309%, 5-Yr is up 0.2bps at 2.8867%, 10-Yr is
up 0.2bps at 3.0553%, and 30-Yr is down 0.3bps at 3.3081%.
- Eurodollar futures up 0.5-1.5 ticks across the strip.
- Following on from Pres Trump`s comments Tuesday on applying yet more tariffs,
China's Foreign Ministry Weds stated that Trump and Xi had agreed to reach
"mutually beneficial agreements", though that was later discounted as being out
of date (Nov 1 Xi-Trump call as well as possibly a bad translation).
- Data points are few and far between Tuesday, with focus on US consumer
confidence numbers and speeches from Fed's Clarida, Bostic, Evans and George.
