US TSYS SUMMARY: Treasuries have steadied following Tuesday's risk-off gains,
TYs trading fairly flat now Wednesday after early retracement.
- Equities a little weaker; most attention today on House Democrats' impeachment
motion vs. Trump, with an un-redacted transcript of Trump's conversation with
his Ukrainian counterpart set to be released today.
- Gains have been led by the short-end: The 2-Yr yield is down 2bps at 1.6056%,
5-Yr is down 1bps at 1.5174%, 10-Yr is down 0.5bps at 1.6404%, and 30-Yr is down
1bps at 2.0932%.
- Dec 10-Yr futures (TY) down 1/32 at 130-22 (L: 130-14.5 / H: 130-24)
- Solid slate of Fed speakers today: Chicago`s Evans at 0800ET (on econ and
monetary policy, w Q&A); KC`s George at 1000ET (Senate Bank Comm. re faster
payments systems, so unlikely to be on monpol); Brainard also at 1000ET (House
Fin Svcs Comm. re financial stability, again unlikely to have monpol
implications). Dallas` Kaplan at 1900ET on `Fall Economic Update`, w Q&A.
- $18bln 2Y FRN auction (1130ET) and $41bln 5Y Note auction (1300ET).
