US TSYS SUMMARY
US TSYS SUMMARY: Treasuries have traded with little direction early Friday.
- Though geopolitical headlines lifted Tsys in Asia-Pac session, futures have
traded sideways since: Sep (TY) up 1.5/32 at 127-10.5 (L: 127-06.5 / H: 127-12).
- Curve a little flatter, with 2-Yr yield down 0.6bps at 1.8579%, 5-Yr down
1.3bps at 1.8453%, 10-Yr down 1.4bps at 2.0668%, 30-Yr down 1.8bps at 2.5907%.
- Short-dated Eurodollars have steadied out following Thurs's drop, but still
remain 4-5 ticks below levels prior to Durable Goods / ECB. White EDs off 1-1.5
ticks, while further down, Blues and Golds are trading 1-1.5 ticks higher.
- Q2 GDP data (0830ET, 1.8% Q/Q exp.; 3.1% previous) will be today's focus ahead
of FOMC next week. Core PCE prices well worth watching (2.0% exp, 1.2% prev).
- Reminder that the Q2 data comes along with annual revisions. As opposed to
last year's comprehensive revisions, which come every 5 years, this year's
revisions will only extend back to 2014 and make modest methodology changes.
