thought a China deal might have to wait after the 2020 Presidential election,
noting he had "no deadline", boosting safe havens as equities dumped.
- This bolstered risk-off sentiment following moves in recent days against other
trading partners including Brazil and France and follows Monday`s weak US PMI.
- Short end / belly outperforming as the trade outlook deteriorates: The 2-Yr
yield is down 3bps at 1.5701%, 5-Yr is down 3.3bps at 1.6096%, 10-Yr is down
2.6bps at 1.793%, and 30-Yr is down 2.3bps at 2.2426%.
- Mar 10-Yr futures (TY) jumped 12+ ticks on the Trump-China headlines, last up
12/32 at 129-9 (L: 128-26 / H: 129-11).
- Equities still weaker; S&P eminis off 0.3%, near intraday lows.
- Very thin slate today: no data or speakers of note.
