sell-off. Current levels near middle overnight range on moderate volume
(TYH>265k); 10Y yld -.0181 to 2.4790, 30Y yld -.0190 to 2.8577; respite from yld
curve steepening (2s10s -.996 to 62.622, 2s30s -1.094 to 100.491, 5s30s -.565 to
63.282). Equities firmer (emini +5.5, 2687.0), gold little weaker (XAU -0.15,
1265.42), oil weaker (WTI -0.06, 58.03).
- Asia, Tsys opened steady/mildly bid, posted mild gains into London open. Flow
included Asian real$ buying 10s, bank buying 30s, 5s30s flatteners.
- London, opened bid but pared gains to steady/mildly lower soon after --
following core EGB's lead into midmorning. Levels rebounded w/Bunds over last
couple hours. Prop and real$ buying 10s and 30s after fast$ selling in
intermediates.
- Swaps, spds running modestly wider across the curve on light volume: 2-way in
4s and 5s, payers in 2s at 2.07375%.
- Eurodollar futures, higher, short end lagging w/3M LIBOR +0.0167 to 1.6746%
