US TSYS: Tsys have been subjected to some light pressure during Asia-Pac trade
owing to a bipartisan leadership deal re: the U.S. debt ceiling, coupled with
hope surrounding a fresh round of U.S.-China trade talks & U.S. President Trump
reportedly agreeing to a request for timely licencing decisions re: sales to
Huawei.
- T-Notes last 0-04 lower on the day at 127-15, with yields a touch higher
across the curve, bear flattening at the margin.
- Eurodollar futures trade 1.5-2.0 ticks lower through the reds. Sales of EDU9
were the standout in early Asia trade, with a buyer of the EDZ9Z0 spread also
highlighted later in the session. Option flow has been quite light, but one
trade of interest saw 3.0K of the EDZ9 98.625 calls given. There was also light
selling of the EDQ9 98.00/97.875/97.75 put fly.
- 2-Year supply gets this week's note issuance underway later today, while
existing home sales provides the highlight of the domestic economic docket.
