US TSYS: Tsys have struggled for any real impetus overnight, with T-Notes
trading either side of unchanged. U.S. stock index futures are marginally lower
at writing, while Asia-Pacific equities trade mixed.
- Yields trade -/+0.5% across the curve, which is running a touch flatter on the
day.
- Fed Chair Powell revealed little in the way of fresh information, stressing
the need for the Fed's gradual approach, while noting that all meetings are
live. Powell addressed widely discussed risks and tailwinds, noting that he is
very happy with how the U.S. economy is reacting to policy, stating that the
balance sheet run off is going very well, and that the Fed watches data closely.
- White & Red Eurodollar contracts trade 0.5 to 1.5 ticks lower last.
- Fed's Bostic, Quarles & Kashkari are all due to speak on Thursday, while U.S.
retail sales headlines the economic docket.
- T-Notes last 118.22, U.S. 10-Year cash Tsy yields last 3.123%.
