Tsys held to a tight range in Asia.....>

BOND SUMMARY
BOND SUMMARY: Tsys held to a tight range in Asia. There was little to go off in
terms of broader risk matters, with Tsy Sec Mnuchin (somewhat cryptically)
pointing to the next round of Sino-U.S. trade meetings taking place in the w/c
Oct 7 N.B. prior source reports penned Oct 10-11 as potential dates for
ministerial level talks. T-Notes last unch. at 130-02+ with yields 1.4-2.3bp
lower across the curve & some marginal bull flattening in play. The only
activity of note saw T-Notes tick to session lows as U.S. equity index futures
had a look above their Monday highs. Eurodlr futures are virtually unch. vs.
settlement through the reds.
- A tight session for AU bonds ahead of RBA Gov. Lowe's economic update. IBs
price an ~80% chance of a cut from the RBA next week. YM +1.0, XM +1.5. Bills
virtually unch. through the reds.
- JGB futures have extended on the gains lodged in the final overnight session
of last week, last +31 ticks as the curve bull flattens a touch after the long
weekend. The BoJ left the size of its 1-5 Year Rinban ops unch., with the cover
ratios steady & the yield spreads moving further into negative territory.
