very light volume (TYM<125k) w/Asian and European trading as UK markets are
closed for early May-Day Holiday.
- Adding to pressure in rates, US$ index pulling higher (DXY +.289, 92.855);
equities stronger (emini +10.5, 2673.5); gold weaker (XAU -3.26, 1312.09); West
Texas crude topped 70.0 to 70.69 high, currently +.85, 70.57 as mid-East
tensions heat up (headlines saying Israeli oil minister Steinitz threatening
Syrian Pres Assad over Iran).
- Asia/London, very quiet sideways trade, limited volume w/FX-acct sales,
two-way spec and fast$ in 5s, 10s.
- Swaps, spds running marginally wider for the most part (5Y little tighter at
the moment, light overnight trade includes $222.2k 3s4s5s Fly, receiving the
belly, 5Y switch around 2.9250%.
- Eurodollar futures, weaker across the strip w/Blues-Golds lagging. LIBOR sets'
resume Tuesday.
- Tsy ylds: 2Y 2.505%, 3Y 2.642%, 5Y 2.796%, 7Y 2.910%, 10Y 2.957%, 30Y 3.124%
