US TSYS
US TSYS: Tsys were pressured by comments from Chinese officials that came on the
back of the latest round of Sino-U.S. trade talks.
- Chinese President Xi noted "substantial progress" in the talks & called for an
early conclusion of a bilateral deal. Subsequent remarks came from Chinese VP
Liu, who noted that "a new consensus (with Washington) has been reached."
- The move lower extended as T-Notes breached their weekly lows, with activity
limited outside of that particular burst of selling.
- Yields trade 1.0-1.5 bp higher across the curve, with T-Notes operating off of
lows.
- Eurodollar futures trade unchanged to 2.0 ticks lower through the reds. A
market source has highlighted activity in the 0EN9 97.750/97.500 put spread,
with ~1.05K given at 0.105 all day.
- T-Notes last 123.13, U.S. 10-Year cash Tsy yields last 2.528%.
