TTF Eases Off from Weekly Peak Yesterday

NATURAL GAS

TTF gas prices are easing after rising up with ongoing supply concerns and after a dip in prices earlier in the week.

  • TTF SEP 22 down -2.2% at 203.5€/MWh
  • Russian supplies remain reducing with Nord Stream at 20% of capacity and flows through Ukraine still only entering via Sudzha. Added to this the low water levels in the Rhine could increase gas demand if ability to transport diesel and coal is reduced. Nord Stream Is nominated at 32.18mcm/d and transit via Ukraine is 41.4mcm/d.
  • Norwegian supply has recovered to 323.8mcm/d after falling 10mcm/d earlier this week however planned maintenance at Troll and Kollsnes from Aug 13 may reduce flows slightly in the coming days.
  • Overall European gas storage is in line with the 5-year average and now up to 73.18%. Storage in Germany is up to 74.39%, Italy to 76.02%, France at 84.54% and Netherlands at 69.42%.
