TTF Plunges On Australia Strike Delay

TTF front month fell to a new intra-day low of €32/MWh, in line with yesterday’s low, after headlines suggested workers at Chevron’s LNG facilities will pause strike action until Friday 6am Perth time.

  • TTF OCT 23 down -6.6% at 32.16€/MWh
  • The front month traded between €32-34.9/MWh today.
  • Industrial action at the Gorgon and Wheatstone LNG facilities was scheduled to begin on Thursday.
Chevron and the unions began mediation discussions on Monday and both sides were scheduled to hold talks on Wednesday in order to avert industrial action.
