TTF Trades Below 30€/MWh on Weak Demand and Healthy Supply

NATURAL GAS

European gas prices are extending the decline with front month TTF trading below 30€/MWh for the first time since June 2021. The move is following a wider energy market selloff amid global economic concerns and assisted by low demand in Europe, strong LNG supplies and healthy storage.

  • Summer TTF is falling faster than future seasons with upside risks from a potential cold winter and rebounding Asia LNG demand helping provide some support.
    • TTF JUN 23 down -5.9% at 30.06€/MWh
    • TTF WIN 23 down -3.2% at 47.71€/MWh
    • TTF SUM 24 down -3.2% at 47.83€/MWh
    • TTF WIN 24 down -2.5% at 51.55€/MWh
