Turkish Bonds Gain W/W as CBRT Meeting Approaches

  • TurkGBs closed bull steeper with 2-3Y yields falling -34-42bp, while USD bonds drifted +3.7-6.5bp higher across the curve.
  • Both registered weekly gains ahead of this week’s CBRT, with TurkGBs most bid in 3-7Y tenors (-92-104bp), and 1-2Y yields in USD bonds (-93-98bp).
  • Thursday’s CBRT will be the key focus this week with the bank expected to hit pause on its easing cycle amid soaring inflation.
