Turkish Rates Open on the Front Foot After Firmer W/w Close

  • TurkGBs open slightly firmer this morning, with 3-10Y yields kicking off -3-8bp lower with the 3Y leading the way.
  • Friday's session ended on a mixed note, with USD bonds remaining under pressure to finish 4-4.7bp bear steeper.
  • W/w, however, both curves ended lower with TurkGBs continuing to bull flatten -35-37bp on week in 7-10Y yields.
  • Turkey's 5Y CDS found support at 440 towards the end of last week and is now hovering around 450.
  • Focus in the rates space will be CPI this week, expected to rise to 20.40-20.60% and push rates deeper into negative real yield territory.
