US DATA PREVIEW: U.S. Consumer Price Index - Dec 11 08:30 EST
----------------------------------------------
-Nov. consumer inflation expected +0.2% after +0.4% in Oct. Gas prices likely
fell in Nov. after rising in Oct., but higher food prices should offset weakness
in headline inflation
-Core CPI seen +0.2 after +0.2% Oct. Apparel prices should rebound after falling
sharply in Oct., but m/m medical costs likely to cool after spiking in Oct. and
slowing wage growth could hold down core inflation
-Rising apparel and footwear costs could be seen in next month's data if Dec. 15
China tariffs go into effect, but tariffs are likely to be delayed, according to
the Wall Street Journal
