U.S. Failing Political System Leads to Crisis: China Daily Editorial

The defects and vulnerabilities of the U.S. political system, exposed and aggravated by the pandemic, have plunged the country into a political and social crises with possible civil unrest to come no matter what presidential election result, the China Daily said in an editorial late Tuesday. U.S. institutions are failing while U.S. politicians prefer to shift the blame for the problems of their own making than taking actions, the Daily said. This is the reason both candidates have continually attacked China, why China has long been accused of spreading the virus to the U.S. and the rest of the world, and why China will continue to be their target, the Daily said.
