GOLD: U.S. Tsy futures have traded on the defensive for the majority of the
Asia-Pacific session, pressuring gold, even with activity stymied by the
Japanese market. This was before stronger than expected Chinese activity data
for June, alongside pretty much in-line Q2 GDP data out of China, applied some
light pressure to the yellow metal, which last deals at $1,410/oz, around $6
lower on the day.
