UK Firm Enters 568MW Battery PPA with Octopus Energy

UK firm Gresham House Energy Storage Fund has entered a two-year 568MW (920MWh) battery power purchase agreement (PPA) with a subsidiary of Octopus Energy, the firm said, cited by Renews.Biz.

  • "The agreement offers attractively priced, two-year fixed-price contracts for about half of the company’s 1.072GW target portfolio, starting in phases from 1 July 2024,” the firm said.
  • The fixed fee excludes capacity market payments, which the projects will receive separately. The majority of the capacity payments are under 15-year agreements indexed to inflation.
