Ukraine Completes Works on Slovak Power Link

Ukrainian power grid operator Ukrenergo has completed works on a power line with Slovakia, the grid operator said, cited by Reuters.

  • The TSO anticipates imports of around 24.8GWh on Monday, it added. But anticipates power cuts in the evening.
  • The interconnector was undergoing maintenance last week and is an overhead cable connecting Ukraine to the EU.
  • It typically imports from Slovakia, Romania, Poland, Hungary and Moldova.
  • The country is currently in talks of increasing its import capacity to around 2.2GWh from 1.7GWh currently.
