Spain's El Pais is reporting that the gov't of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called for an urgent meeting with NATO following Russia's use of a 'new generation' missile on the city of Dnipro on 21 November. El Pais: "...NATO allies have scheduled an emergency meeting with Kyiv next Tuesday [26 Nov]. The meeting was requested by the Ukrainian government, according to NATO sources. It will take place at the organization’s headquarters in Brussels and will involve ambassadors in the official NATO-Ukraine Council format." The suspected use of an intermediate-range ballistic missile with multiple warheads on the battlefield has been seen by Zelenskyy as a "clear and severe escalation in the brutality of the war".
- Comes as former Russian president and current deputy chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev spoke to Saudi Arabia's Al Arabiya, wit comments reported by state media. Medvedev, who has increasingly become the 'attack dog' of the Putin gov't, issuing some of the most aggressive and hawkish rhetoric towards the West from any gov't official, says that NATO states "have essentially become fully involved in the conflict in Ukraine."
- Medvedev: "And [the West] are fighting not only by supplying them with weapons and providing financial resources. They are fighting directly because they are providing targets on Russian territory and controlling the actions of American or European missiles. They are fighting with the Russian Federation. And since this is so, nothing can be ruled out,".
