  • French manufacturing confidence saw a sharp drop of 6 points in March, after falling across all indicators.
  • This is a stronger decline than the forecasted 4-point fall.
  • Selling prices reached an over 30-year year high, whilst production outlook for the next three months was the lowest since November 2020.
  • The March print highlights that the Ukraine war is dampening manufacturing confidence in the region, with perceived economic uncertainty reaching the series-high last seen one year prior.
