LNG: Ukraine's D.Trading Recieves First US LNG Cargo

Ukraine has received its first US LNG shipment after D.Trading said Dec. 27 it had taken delivery of a cargo into the Greek import terminal at Revithoussa.

  • Ukraine’s DTEK/D.Trading purchased the full cargo of 100mcm of gas onboard the Gaslog Savannah LNG tanker.
  • The shipment is expected to be the first of a number of shipments from the US.
  • "The arrival of this LNG cargo is a clear signal of DTEK's determination to play its part in strengthening Ukraine and Europe's energy security," DTEK CEO Maxim Timchenko said.
  • In June, Venture Global signed a non-binding agreement to supply LNG to D. Trading from its Plaquemines and CP2 export projects in the US.
