US: US 10y yields head into the Monday session at the highs of the day, edging
back above the 2.70 mark with eyes turning to Wednesday's highs of 2.7331 as the
next key level. The USD index is following yields higher, further erasing the
losses seen following the Fed rate decision last Wednesday. A rally through
96.00 will see those losses closed, prompting USD bulls to set sights on recent
cycle highs of 96.676. The moves come as USD/JPY shows above Y110.00 to print
the best levels of the year. Despite lower US Treasuries and a rallying USD/JPY,
equity markets remain sanguine, with US equity futures indicating a lower open
to re-open trade this week. Stock markets move in tandem with commodities at
present, with WTI crude futures lower by well over 1.75% at pixel, with
industrial and precious metals both following suit.
