US Asks Venture Global to Justify Confidential Filings

The US FERC has asked Venture Global to explain why it has extensively filed confidential documents in its Calcasieu Pass LNG export terminal, Reuters said.

  • Venture Global’s customers have complained that they are unable to understand why the terminal has not provided contracted cargoes because the company files confidential documents concerning construction and repairs.
  • The FERC’s request follows a challenge from Venture Global’s customers regarding a one-year extension of its start-up.
  • The extension is opposed by Shell, BP, ENI, Repsol, Orlen, and Galp.
