US Crude Exports To Asia To Rise To Record in August

US crude exports to Asia are estimated to rise to around 2.2mbpd this month, a new record, as Asian refiners seek to replace Saudi imports amid the kingdom’s production cuts, Rohit Rathod, analyst at Vortexa, said.

  • The current record was set in April at 2.1mbpd.
  • Total US crude exports could also hit a new record this month with total shipments expected at 4-4.2mbpd, compared with 4mbpd in July, Rathod said.
  • Asian demand for US crude this month is expected to come from China, South Korea and Taiwan, he added.
