US Crude Oil Stocks Seen Rising in Week to Feb. 2: WSJ

US crude oil stocks are expected to have built in the week to Feb. 2, according to a survey by the WSJ.

  • Crude stockpiles are forecast to have risen by 1.3m bbl to 423.2m bbl in the week to Feb. 2, based on the average estimates of 10 analysts and traders.
  • Responses ranged from a draw of 2.7m bbl to a build of 3.2m bbl.
  • Gasoline inventories are expected to build by 0.3m bbl to 254.4m bbl. Responses varied from a draw of 2m bbl to a build of 2.7m bbl.
  • Distillate inventories are forecast to decline by 2m bb to 128.8m bbl. Forecasts ranged from a draw of 0.9m-3.6m bbl.
