US Crude Stocks Rose in Week to Feb. 16: WSJ Survey

US crude oil inventories are expected to have risen in the week to Feb. 16, according to a WSJ survey.

  • Commercial crude stocks were expected to increase by 3.2m bbl to 442.7m bbl, based on the average response from 10 analysts and traders.
  • Nine respondents expect a build with one expecting a draw. Responses ranged from -2.5m bbl to +5.9m bbl.
  • Gasoline inventories are expected to fall by 2.1m bbl on the week with estimates ranging from -4.5m bbl to -3.2m bbl.
  • Distillate stocks are expected to see a draw of 1.4m bbl with responses ranging from -3.6m bbl to +3.2m bbl.
  • The EIA’s inventory data will be released Feb. 22 at 11am ET. The data release was delayed by a day due to the US national holiday Feb. 19.
