In November, the Chicago Report™ asked firms “Over the past three months, how has your ability to pass on input costs changed?”

  • Over 50% of respondents reported “no change” in their ability to pass on input costs.
  • Just over 20% of respondents reported a “somewhat greater” ability to pass on costs, while almost 25% of respondents said that they were “somewhat less able to” or “less able to” do so.
