US Falls After Smaller than Normal Stock Draw

US Natgas edges lower after a smaller than normal US inventory draw in line with expectations. The small draw was driven by mild weather in the US, high production levels and limited LNG exports.

  • US Natgas FEB 23 down -0.8% at 3.29$/mmbtu
  • The latest EIA weekly gas inventories for the week ending 13 Jan showed a -82bcf draw compared to expectation of a -76bcf draw and the 5-year average for this time of year of -142bcf.
  • Total US inventories are near the five year average at 2,820bcf.
