US Gasoline Demand up 1.9% in Week to Aug. 24: GasBuddy

US retail gasoline demand saw a rise of 1.9% for the week ending August 24 (Sun-Sat) to reach 9.15m b/d, according to GasBuddy.

  • Demand by PADD - PADD 1: +2.1%, PADD 2: +1.8%, PADD 3: +1.8%, PADD 4: +0.1%, PADD 5: +3.7%.
  • US retail gasoline prices have fallen for four straight weeks, down 6.2 cents/gal on the week and 20.7 cents/gal on the month to average $3.30/gal, GasBuddy said.
  • The average US retail diesel price was $3.67 cents/gal.
