US Gasoline Imports Decline with European Supply to 8-Week Low

US Gasoline imports decline with supply from Europe to an eight week low.

  • US imports of European gasoline fell to 169k b/d for the week ending July 20 according to Bloomberg, the lowest level since the week ending May 25.
  • This is a decrease of 16% compared to the previous week’s 199k b/d, when imports fell by a larger 34% week on week.
  • PADD 1 gasoline imports decline in line with seasonal norms with a decreasing trend observed from Canadian barrels according to Vortexa.
  • Gasoline crack spreads are today extending the recent rally above the highs from last week.
    • EU Gasoline-Brent up 2$/bbl at 29.88$/bbl
    • US gasoline crack up 1.8$/bbl at 40.34$/bbl
