US Gasoline Imports from Europe Declined on the Week

US gasoline imports from Europe in the week ending 5 Jan decreased from the previous week according to bills of lading and ship-tracking data from Bloomberg.

  • European gasoline arrivals in the US fell to 147kbpd compared with 212kbpd in the previous week.
  • Central Atlantic gasoline inventories have increase over the last month making supplies in the area much comfortable after stocks reached a low in late November. Late last week a European cargo even got diverted away from New York despite the Colonial Line 3 pipeline shutdown at the time. The Colonial pipeline resumed operation over the weekend.
  • Gasoline and diesel crack spreads are today edging slightly higher.
    • US 321 crack up 0.5$/bbl at 32.48$/bbl
    • US gasoline crack up 0.4$/bbl at 22.11$/bbl
    • US ULSD crack up 0.6$/bbl at 53.23$/bbl
    • EU Gasoline-Brent up 1.8$/bbl at 8.87$/bbl
    • EU Gasoil-Brent up 0.6$/bbl at 33.35$/bbl
