US gasoline pump prices up 20 cents on month

The US national average pump price of gasoline per gallon is up 20 cents on the month, according to AAA data.

  • The current national average across the US is $3.83/g, compared to $3.63/g one month ago.
  • This marks the highest price at the pump since October 2022, although is still 5 cents lower than in August 2022, when prices were 5 cents higher at $3.88/g.
  • Prices could rise further as OPEC+ production cuts put more pressure on supply during the peak summer driving season.
