US Imports of European Gasoline Hit Seven-Month Low

Arrivals of European gasoline into the USA fell by 40% on the week to 90k b/d in the seven days to No. 23, according to Bloomberg.

  • This makes it the lowest level since the week ending April 6 and down from 151k b/d last week.
  • US imports of European gasoline have averaged 287k b/d in 2023 to date.
  • US weekly gasoline demand in the previous week fell 2.6% and is 3.3% below the four-week average, according to GasBuddy.
  • US gasoline prices have been falling for 60 consecutive days, according to Bloomberg, the longest streak of falls for more than a year, with the average retail price at $3.25/gal.
  • RBOB DEC 23 up 0.9% at 2.19$/gal
  • US gasoline crack up 0.7$/bbl at 15.32$/bbl.
