US Index Futures Edge Off Alltime Highs at Opening Bell

Cash equities opened higher, with the cash S&P500 hitting a new alltime high, but gains are moderating out of the gate. Technology sector is outperforming, with Salesforce shares up close to 20% following a much stronger-than-expected update ahead of their inclusion in the Dow Jones Industrial Average. Real estate and utilities the early underperformers in the US.

A spell of USD weakness comes alongside the US equity open, with the USD index back toward the August lows.

Move in the greenback helping GBP/USD, AUD/USD to new session highs and taking some weight off gold, which rises to new session highs at 1933.88.
