US LNG Exports At Second Highest on Record in Nov

US LNG exports increased in November to 7.99m metric tons and the second highest monthly production on record according to tanker tracking data from LSEG.

  • LNG volumes increased from 7.92m tons in October and just below a record of 8.01m tons seen in April.
  • About 68% of US LNG was exported to Europe up from 65% in October. Exports to Asia fell to 18.5% from 20% in October, while shipments to Latin America were almost unchanged at 5%.
  • Feedgas supplies to the seven big US LNG export terminals increased to a record 14.3bcfd in November, up from 13.7bcfd in October. The 30-day average utilization rate was close to 106% of nameplate capacity according to Rystad Energy.
  • New export facilities expected online next year are expected to support the US as the largest global exporter ahead of Qatar and Australia.
