US LNG Exports Recover to 28 Cargoes Last Week on Freeport Resumption

The number of US LNG export cargoes increased last week to 28 from 22 the previous week with four Freeport LNG terminal cargoes in the week according to the EIA as the terminal resumed operations at all three liquefaction trains.

  • Total vessel capacity of the vessels was 102bcf based on Bloomberg data.
  • Average natural gas deliveries to US LNG export terminals increased by 3.5% (0.4bcf/d) from last week, averaging 12.7bcf/d, according to data from S&P Global Commodity Insights.
  • A rise in deliveries to terminals in South Texas of 0.8bcf/d to 4.1bcf/d more than offset a drop to South Louisiana of 0.4bcf/d to 7.4bcf/d.
  • US terminal feedgas flows are today at 13.17bcf/d today according to Bloomberg with supplies to Sabine Pass and Cameron still curtailed. Freeport feedgas supplies are back up to 2.09bcf/d after a brief dip again yesterday due to a compressor issue on train 2.
  • US LNG exports are still more profitable to Asia over Europe throughout the rest of this year according to BNEF. The US netback to Asia for July is at $7.35/mmbtu and to Europe is at $6.41/mmbtu.
