US markets open lower in early trade,......>

EQUITIES: US markets open lower in early trade, with the three main indices down
between 0.2-1.0%. Dow Jones slightly underperforms while tech-heavy NASDAQ is
posting the shallowest early losses. Financials are the poorest performing
sector in the S&P500 early doors, with utilities not far behind. Healthcare and
consumer discretionary (just) are the sole sectors in the green.
- Having hit a new post-Coronavirus crisis low on Friday, the VIX index is
advancing slightly Monday, but is well below the best levels of last week at
Monday 4th's 40.32. Last week's low of 27.89 is just above the opening gap of
the Coronacrisis move higher, sitting at 22.00.
