US Natgas Falls Back Ahead of EIA Data

The front month US Natgas price falls back to near flat on the day ahead of the latest EIA US inventory data release.

    • US Natgas MAR 23 up 0.4% at 2.48$/mmbtu
  • The latest EIA weekly gas inventories for the week ending 10 Feb will be released later today at 15:30GMT. The expectation is for a draw of -104bcf following on from the big draw of -217bcf last week. The 5-year average for this time of year is -150bcf.
  • Strong supplies and weak demand this winter has helped a recovery in gas storage levels back above normal. Last week total US stocks were at 2,366bcf compared to the five year average for this time of year of 2,287bcf.
