US Natgas Recoups Some Losses After Storage Data

US Henry Hub is recouping some earlier losses despite a larger than expected storage build.

  • US Natgas JUL 23 down -3.7% at 2.18$/mmbtu
  • US Henry Hub prices fell as low as $2.146/mnbtu on Thursday.
  • The latest EIA weekly gas inventories for the week ending 26 May showed a build of +110Bcf compared to expectation of a +107Bcf build.
  • Total US inventories are at 2.446Bcf as of 26 May. Stocks were 557Bcf higher than last year at this time and 349Bcf above the five-year average.
