US Natural Gas Stocks Seen Down by 66 Bcf: WSJ Survey

NATURAL GAS

US natural gas stocks likely saw a below-average withdrawal in the week to Feb. 16 of 66 bcf according to a survey by the WSJ.

  • The tepid withdrawal is likely a result of limited heating demand in H1 Feb, coupled with recovering production levels after January’s weather-related disruption.
  • Estimates among the survey of 10 analysts, brokers, and traders ranged from draws of 10-88 Bcf.
  • The EIA will release the official data on Feb. 22 at 10:30 ET.
