US Natural Gas Storage Seen Rising 24 Bcf Last Week: Reuters

US natural gas storage likely saw a slightly below-average build of 24 bcf in the week to July 19, according to a Reuters survey.

  • The five-year average for this period is a 31 bcf build on the week. In 2023, stocks built by 23 bcf over the same period.
  • If correct, that would take US natural gas storage levels to 3,233 bcf, a surplus of around 458bcf, 16.5% over the five-year average. This would be a fall in the surplus from 16.9% the previous week.
