US Oct Bldg Permits Revised Up To -0.4% To 1.265 Mln Unit Rate>

--October Permits Originally Reported -0.6% To 1.263 Mln Unit Rate            
     WASHINGTON (MNI) - The number of U.S. building permits issued in 
October was revised up to a decrease of 0.4% to a 1.265 million unit 
annual rate, the Commerce Department's Bureau of the Census said 
Wednesday.          
     Permits issued were originally reported down 0.6% to a 1.263             
million unit rate.                                                            
     The Census Bureau revises the latest building permits data on the 
18th working day of the month, three to seven days after the release of       
the preliminary estimate in the month housing starts and building 
permits report.                                                               
     Permits for single-family homes were revised lower to a decline of 
0.8% at a 847,000 unit rate (previously down 0.6% at a 849,000 unit 
rate). Permits for multi-unit buildings were revised up to a gain of 
0.5% at a 418,000 unit rate (previously down 0.5% at a 414,000 unit 
rate.)
