US Price Ease Back on Warm Weather Forecast

US natural gas prices ease back with weather forecasts shifting away from the cold weather.

    • US Natgas DEC 22 down -2% at 5.92$/mmbtu
  • Below normal temperatures are expected to remain on the east coast, but above normal temperatures are now expected in central and western areas in the 8-14 day outlook. Current US domestic demand is estimated above normal at 92.18bcf/d.
  • Natgas deliveries to US LNG export terminals have edged high over the last couple of days up to 12.54bcf/d today largely due to a recovery in supply to Sabine Pass. There is still no indication from Freeport LNG as to when operations are likely to resume.
  • US lower 48 dry gas production was yesterday estimated at 100.9bcf/d with output relatively unchanged since the end of August. Exports to Mexico at holding steady around 6.5bcf/d.
