US retail sales fell by -0.5% m/m in........>

US DATA: US retail sales fell by -0.5% m/m in February, coming in much lower
than the +0.2% expected my markets. Y/y retail sales, however, were up +4.3%.
Retail sales excluding motor vehicles also came in negative at -0.4% m/m, below
the +0.1% expected. Retail sales excluding both motor vehicles and gas stations
also took a hit, falling -0.3% m/m, below the expected +0.3% growth. The m/m
change from December 2019 to January 2020 was revised up from +0.3% to +0.6%.
